On top of these changes, we had decided to move our couch setup into Beavisland, so that the dogs would have a less spartan area, and in so doing accept that after 10 years of duty it was time to get a different set of furniture. We ended up getting a cover couch and recliner, so as to make it easy to take off the covers and wash them for when dog slobber, baby spittle, and other soilings occur.
Part of the other rearrangements was to fit in a small kitchen table that was high enough to discourage Beavis from resting his head on its top. Of course, this necessitated moving around some other storage cabinets, and etc. So, it's been something or another each weekend, but we've made enough progress that we're set for whenever the baby's ready to arrive.
Here are some photos of the baby room. Maggie picked out a jungle theme to go with the corn husk green color we picked for the walls. The good news is that one of the items for the baby room is a day bed so that we can offer some accommodation for when our guests arrive.
